WWA 2024 Democratic Primary Endorsements

The worker advocacy organization has endorsed candidates it believes will stand up to corporate interests and advocate effectively for workers

March 4, 2024, Joliet, IL – Warehouse Workers Action, a grassroots labor organization dedicated to advocating for the rights and fair treatment of warehouse workers, is proud to announce its endorsements for the upcoming March 19th Democratic primary election. 

After careful consideration and evaluation of each candidate’s commitment to standing up to corporate interests and advocating effectively for workers' rights, Warehouse Workers Action is declaring its support for the following candidates:

  • For US Congress

    • Jesús “Chuy” García for Congress IL-4

    • Qasim Rashid for Congress for IL-11

  • For IL State Representative 

    • Lilian Jiménez for 4th District State Representative

    • Abdelnasser Rashid for 21st District State Representative

    • Edgar González for 23rd District State Representative

    • Theresa Mah for 24th District State Representative

    • Sonia Khalil for 36th District State Representative

  • For IL State Senate

    • Graciela Guzmán for 20th District State Senate 

These candidates have demonstrated a steadfast dedication to championing the rights of working-class individuals and ensuring fair treatment and opportunities for all workers, including those in the warehouse industry.

"With the challenges faced by warehouse workers in today's economy, it's imperative that we have representatives who will fight tirelessly for our rights and advocate for policies that prioritize the well-being of workers over corporate interests," said Marcos Ceniceros, Chairman of the Board for Warehouse Workers Action. 

Early voting is now open at any early voting location, and mail-in ballots can be postmarked up until election day. Warehouse Workers Action urges all eligible voters to cast their ballots in support of these endorsed candidates who have proven themselves as allies of the working class.
